I have a habit of biting my gum its like theres loose little bits I have to continuously take away with my teeth and its agrevating me. I get relief after i have done so, i did go contiuously for 6 months without doing it but now its back, i am not stessed oh and i dont like chewing gum

Use breath mints instead of gum

I used to have the same habit. i chewed gum. But since u dislike chewing gum try gummies or mints. When you bite your gums you're damaging your mouth and I'm sure you don't want that. You can always ask your dentist for more ideas on how to stop. Good luck.

I know the feeling! My mum does it too so i blame her! Lol...

I havent actually had any answers but a friend has advised me to brush my mouth and lips in the morning to relieve any dead skin. But buy a soft toothbrush to avoid damaging the inside of your mouth!

I have also heard that it can contribute to mouth cancer, i dont know if this is true but take this into consideration and get medical advice.

I use to do this. I stopped by making myself aware of it when I was doing it and kept telling myself how awful it must look and how sore I was going to make my mouth. Good luck.

Maybe try mints or hard candy...something sugar free of course so your teeth don't rot.
