The contract to gestate a new child is strictly between a mother, the child and God. At any time in the first few weeks, either of these three parties can relinquish the obligation to enter into the contract. Neither God nor the mother nor the new human need hold the other in any form of disregard or malevolence if they choose to not enter into the contract. If the contract is solidified after these first few weeks, the mother is obligated to nurture the child as it develops within her womb, and to provide a good life to the child and to be the best parent possible. The new soul of the child is obligated to be the best human it can become, and God is obligated to offer abundant love to both.

The teacher that trains young girls to see a newly conceived child as merely a "choice" is wrong. It is a child. To decide to abort a child is a grave decision. The woman who enters into this decision casually or thoughtlessly, who repeatedly chooses to become pregnant and abort the child as if it were a minor inconvenience, as if an abortion is anything like a visit to the dentist, is wrong. The young woman who has been trained that her baby is a choice and is not a child, who gives birth to the child and dumps her into the trash or a toilet on the way back to the prom dance floor is a human tragedy. With great freedom comes great responsibility. Thus is the essence of "pro-choice."

This is a good question!
To me, pro-choice means that I believe that I cannot make personal medical decisions for another person, and that I reserve the right to make personal medical decisions for myself without the government or anyone else interfering. It means that no one should have the ability to determine what medical treatments I can receive based on their religious beliefs. And obviously this includes abortion but it isn't limited to abortion.
I think the misunderstanding comes from those who push pro-choice as being pro-abortion. I am NOT pro-abortion, and all circumstances being equal I actually think it's wrong--but I realize that *I* cannot be the one to determine for another person when "all circumstances are equal."

Pro-choice, to me, means the woman has the right to choose. It doesn't mean that I agree with every case of Abortion.... I don't. I don't believe it should be used for birth control... to me, this is a total disrespect for oneself and if one can't keep their legs shut, then they should find out ways to prevent this from happening (It's not like we're in the Middle Ages where most people don't know how to get pregant). I know a couple of women who do this very thing, makes me sick....

Yes, there is. All the Pro-Lifers listen to the propaganda from Pro-Life sources. This is akin to wanting info on the Jews and going and asking a Nazi for the Truth of it. But then, Pro-Choice does the same thing. Just a shame the general public have no desire to find out the truth of it themselve.

Pro-choice means being able to make a decision regarding your own body without having the government interfere. Some people think abortion is murder but men freely masturbate and ejaculate killing MILLIONS of living things (sperm) daily. These sperm could have easily been living humans, in fact they are the pre-cursor to the fetus in which we so value outside of the body even though it cant even survive outside of YOUR womb. We are already restricted from putting things into our bodies on our own will. Myself, being a pro-choice individual, would have to broaden my opinion to more than aborting a small undeveloped fetus as I habitually masturbate (its natural) and abort millions of living cells a day. I would not want the government going any further. First it's illegal to abort the small undeveloped fetus, next I cant pop a zit because it is a mass-genocide of the colony of innocent bacteria in my skin.
I am disregarding any moral issues on the subject based on one's personal religious beliefs. These beliefs can severely alter sanity and logical thought, much like the many illict mind altering substances in this great land.

Pro-choice means that a woman has the right to CHOOSE whether or not she continues with her pregnancy. I know what you'll say "she should have CHOSEN to keep her legs closed". Well, birth control isn't 100% effective, condoms break, situations change, rape occurs, etc, etc. Every woman should have the right to choose whether she carries a fetus to full term or not. I don't want ANYONE making a life changing decision for me or any other woman for that matter. If you don't believe in abortion, don't have an abortion. Plain and simple!

Pro-choice individuals (like myself) believe the words speak for themselves. You have the choice to: have a baby or abort (as long as it's done within the first trimester- unless the mother's health / life are at steak). I don't think that anyone (especially men or the government) has a right to force someone to carry a child they don't want or abort a child they do want.

Yeah, there's a massive difference between 1st trimester abortion and 2nd or even 3rd trimester. Our little Disney friend apparently thinks all abortions are "performed" on semi-viable babies, which is a crock. In Australia you need a damn good reason to abort after about 10 weeks (I think) and as far as I know the average is about 8 weeks.

Personally I would also need a damn good reason to abort after the first trimester, even though I'm a murdering heathen with no morals.

It doesn't have to do with pro-choice. Instead it's about retention of women's rights. It has nothing to do with being pro-abortion and pro contraception. I don't like to call it pro-chocie at all. I like to call it: being able to have control over my own body without the government or other similar forces making the decision for me. You do realize that if abortion was banned, many young women would go to extremes to get rid of the fetus, probably even die in the process. And, if abortion is banned, they will slowly take away all women's rights...rights we have been fighting for a long time. I would hate to see all the work our "foremothers" did get tossed away on a whim.

I am pro-choice. What it means to me is that I keep my nose and opinions out of other people's business. If a woman chooses to have an abortion, she is the one who has to deal with that. I shouldn't have a say so in it, and I should keep my opinions out of it too. I'm sure it's not an easy decision.

I could not have one personally, but I do not seek to impose my own beliefs on others.

Pro- choice means that a woman has the right to any legal choice regarding her pregnancy. She has the right keep the child, the right to put it up for adoption or the right to abort it. It's about having options not being dictated to.
