abiogenesis: tell you the truth, I don't really know. I'm aware of the current models but as any sane scientist will tell you, they're only hypothesis, not theory.
Note: this does not mean I think 'god diddit'. I'm 100% sure a natural process is behind it. Like with everything else.

Evolution began when molecules (such as RNA) formed that could replicate themselves (and amino acids) inside of a chemical membrane (lipid). Why is that so hard for some people to accept? Pretty soon, some copies of these self-replicating molecules-in-a-sac were made that contained mistakes, and these copies made more copies which contained more mistakes (have you ever played the game called "telephone"?). Most of the copies with mistakes were wiped out over time, but some turned out to work better than the original under certain conditions. That evolution has occurred over 3 1/2 + billion years has been PROVEN by DNA analysis which has given us a thorough sketch of the tree of life, at the base of which are the most primitive organisms. Read about it in the library. I bet your pastor doesn't want you to.

The formation of original life is not yet known, and may never be; it took place some 4 billion years ago on an Earth that was quite different from the one we see today: CO2 rather than oxygen in the atmosphere, huge tides (hundreds of feet high), much shorter days, and who knows what else. But once life existed in any form, evolution took over, and brought about the life forms we see today. Evolution has been established science for a century, and is now proven fact (details on request).

The process of evolution on this planet began following the first introduction of simple living organisms. Some people say that it occurred spontaneously. I believe that God started the ball rolling a few billion years ago.
If you are serious about seeking proof, then I applaud you. That is what science is all about. Study chemistry and biology to learn how living matter interacts and changes. Review previous research to see what others have accomplished and where there are gaps in knowledge.
You can either disbelieve the work of thousands of scientists working over hundreds of years simply because it conflicts with your interpretation of the Bible, or you can study and learn for yourself. Personally, if I really want to know something, I do what's necessary to find out for myself instead of depending on others.

If you mean exactly how did the first living organisms come into existence, that is really not a matter of evolution, since evolution deals only with ongoing change in already existing orgainsms. However, if you mean how did the first organisms start evolving, then the obvious answer is, exectly the same way they continue evolving today. The process is a beautifully designed one, and does not change essentially over time.

for proof do a search on rna, evolution, and carbon dating, also look into the cosmic background radiation and how relativity, and the distance light takes to reach earth from stars. Also how they use various sattelites and telescopes to measure the distance from us to stars, and the simple equation used. The genetic testing they do shows how we are related, and how evolution occured amongst out simian ancestors. Carbon dating shows by decay of radiation that some fossils, and even billion year old microscopic life forms found in rocks over in iceland. Research this stuff and come to your own conclusion. You either accept the evidence or you do not. However I doubt that man and woman were made of clay by a creator diety in a magic garden, that just seems retarded to me.

Well, evolution is merely change of an organism. It would have begin with the first organisms, they would have changed with their environment. What would you like as proof? A mirror? If it is abiogenesis to which you refer, may I suggest that you look at the structure of a virus and the biochemistry involved and then we will be able to talk.

Both Evolution and Creationism (assuming that you are a Creationist) are theories.
We see modern examples of Evolution, everyday. Adaptation and physical growth are things that "thinking-men" do not take for granted. Take note: this is Evolution that we can witness a number of times in one lifetime, imagine what we could witness in billions of years!
Have you any models of anything magically "poofing" into existence, in your lifetime? Nature doesn't reveal itself to act so. In terms of violent reactions, of course we may witness instantaneous change, but such an occurrence never produces anything so complex as to compare it to the development of life (on the level of animal species especially).

The beginning of life is not part of evolution. It is called abiogenesis. The basic idea is that under the right conditions, simple forms of life can spontaneously form. I'm sure it takes about 7 years of college to completely understand this, but here is a start:

I'll give you an example. Say there is a certain type of highly predated animal that lives in the jungle. It is likely that the ones with slighly larger teeth would be more likely to survive, therefore, the animals with the largest teeth would survive and have children with larger teeth and so on, untill eventually all the members of this species have large teeth. There are many alterations on this, this is just an example.

With the first self-replicating unit of matter, obviously. The proof is that nothing can evolve until there is replication, and living organisms replicate, so there *had* to be a point where the first self-replicating unit of matter originated, and that was when evolution began. That is true even if you think God created said unit of matter. It's undeniable fact.
