I'm an 18-year-old full time college student with no income. I do have some money in the bank though. Do I need to complete taxes? If so, is there somewhere in Columbus, Ohio where I can get help for free or very cheap?

If you have more than $850 in unearned income you must file. You can get all the assistance and information you need for free on the IRS and OH tax department websites.

Being that your under 24 and a full time student my guess is that your parent's have already claimed you on their return and I doubt very seriously that you would need to file for bank interest unless it's alot.

ITS depend on how much money in your account and how much interest you collect . if you did not get 3.400$ or more on the interest your safe , but you can all way file the short form 1040 EZ on line . its free . and e file it on your computer , you should be on your parents taxes
