My cat is itchy. Ever since I got her spayed, she's been pulling her hair out, scratching, crying, she has dandruff and red, juicy patches on her skin that smell funny. I've brought her to 3 vets and they have no answers. She doesn't have fleas or mites. I've changed her food twice. She's been on 3 different kinds of allergy medicine and diet food. It makes me so sad to see her suffer, but I'm tired of wasting $300 for the vet to give me something else that doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea what I can do for her?

It's so hard to think of something one of three vets wouldn't have already come up with.
No Fleas? No Mites? No Mange? No allergies?
Ringworm maybe? It's a fungus but I would guess one of those vets would have tested for that.
Could she just be neurotic and pulling her hair out? I've seen that before. Kitty Prozac helped in those cases.
How long after she was spayed did this start? How old was she when she was spayed?
Have x-rays been done?
Have you tried feeding her a food with no corn and no by products in it? Even the vet prescription foods are filled with nasty fillers that she could still be allergic to. In fact vet prescription foods are some of the absolute worst foods. I wouldn't feed them to my cats if they were free. Yuck.
I'm going to recommend you switch to a holistic Human grade food with no fillers. Such as Drs Foster and Smith Adult cat food... or Old Mother Hubbard Wellness brand cat food. Drs. can be purchased online and Wellness at Complete Petmart.
They are very high quality foods and saved my cat with IBD from a lifetime of drugs. Cured him in fact. Sometimes a truly good food will help animals that vets find incurable. Most vets know nothing about feline nutrition anyway.
Start with a switch to a very good and healthy food, even a raw diet if you can afford and go from there.
I wish you luck. I can’t imagine how frustrating this is for you and how terrible it must be for your poor kitty. :(

It sounds like she may be suffering from an internal infection, or having a reaction to the anesthesia. If all the vets you've seen say it's nothing, I would try to see if a vegetarian cat food would help calm her skin down. My two Corgi's are vegetarians because of skin conditions like this. I feed them "natures recipe". I am pretty sure that this company makes cat food as well.
Hopefully it's food allergies and it's just a coincidence that she's have a skin break out at the same time as her spaying.
Best of luck!

I really am not sure what's going on.
It wouldn't be related to the spaying: I've had many a kitty spayed without half the trouble you're going through.
I do have a suggestion: Get your cat's medical records together in a file, and try another vet. Tests will have to be done on your cat's skin. I almost wonder if your kitty has picked up some kind of parasite like scabies or ringworm, or mange.
Good luck!

How long has it been since she was spayed? She could be having an allergic reaction to the anestetic they gave her for the surgery. Have you tried benadryl yet? Call your vet for correct dosing, but it usually works. Make sure she is getting plenty of water as well. I have never heard of anything this severe from it, but anything is possible. Have you put any flea medication on her, it may be an allergy to that as well. GL and sorry kittty is going thru this, hope she gets better!

I really dont know what wrong with her, but your vet isn't helping you. I suggest finding another vet. Maybe they will be able to better diagnose your poor kitty. Just try to keep her comfortable, she may be allergic to something outside even, my cat used to be attacked by the birds that were nesting. If she is an outdoor cat keep her inside for a while. Other than that find a new vet. .sorry i couldnt help more

Poor kitty..!
So stressful for both of you..!!!
Why don't you try to put some tea tree oil (100%)
A few drops in her bath. try a few times
It has work for me before.!!!
Since you have been to the vet, it can't be the recall food business.????
