Are there any 4WD tours from Darwin to Alice Springs?

I have about 10 days.

What about driving one way and then flying back?

Anything interesting to see along the way?

There would be although it is an excellent bitumen road and conventional vehicles do it all the time. Read Bill Bryson's book "Down Under", he describes his trip down that road. Don't miss the Daly Waters Pub or Katherine Gorge.
