There is a YA user('HOTSAUCE') who has made it a daily ritual to e-mail me with insults. She calls me old, smelly, and other assorted rantings.
I've decided to simply pity her--she really must be quite lonely and miserable.
My last--and final--response to her was 'peace, love, and joy be yours always...'
Did I do the right thing,in your opinion?

Just ignore her, all she's trying to do is get a reaction out of you. Next time she sends you an email delete it, don't even open it.

That is the perfect response. There is no need to lower oneself to her level.
In this wide world of yahoo there are bound to be some who are lonely and miserable.
It is unfortunate that harassment and bullying goes on everywhere, it is rampant in the schools and now YA is seeing it.
Most people who act in a bullying manner are truly scared and are desperately trying to act all tough to cover up the fear.
Have a good day.

Well..you are quite understanding. Why don't you send an abuse report on her every day? She would lose her "playtime" on here and maybe think before she insults people. Perhaps she doesn't have a job and likes to sit on the computer and argue with people. You did the right thing but she's taking away enjoyment from you and I think it should be handled if it continues.

Get on to Yahoo and ask for your email address to be deleted from view. Then add her address to the Spam and that should end the matter. Cannot see sending her love will help, probably irritates her more.

Those people you are describing are very sad, immature people. The best thing to do is not respond at all, because that is what they are seeking - a response. That is what I did, and they stopped almost immediately.

I admire you for 'turning the other cheek' but you don't need this abuse. You did good but also confgure your email application to delete all mails from her email address so your don't even see them anymore!

If what you say is true...yes, you did the right thing. Keep giving out love, people won't be able to help it and give you the same in return.
Edit:
LOVE conquers everything.

If you did what you deem as the right thing, then yes, you did the right thing, however I, as well as many other Yahoo-rs would have chosen different words;)
