Give it to a local veterans association. The VFW or American Legions hold a flag burning ceremony every year for the dicarded flags.

Many local boy-scout troups or American Legions have a disposal system. We have a local American Legion that has a drop off. Technically there is a flag ceremony (this is how the boy scouts do it)

Contact either your local Boy Scouts of America or your local American Legion Post. Either of those organizations will accept faded/worn flags for retirement and dispose of them properly.

You have to fold it in a paticular way so that the ony thing visible is the filed of bue stars. try this
