Papayas are loaded with digestive enzymes which actually soothe the stomach. If you eat papaya with another fruit it could possibly be causing the acid in the stomach. I have used papayas extensively for treating many different stomach conditions and they always have been beneficial.

All fruit contains acid which can cause discomfort if eaten to excess. Oranges and tomatoes are the real risk. But unless you eat to excess you should have no problem unless you have a medical reason for it and the cause of that is more likely to be smoking, drinking or spicy food!

Amongst fruit papaya is actually quite high on the list of those with antioxidant qualities so should be good for you.
