No, it was made philosophical so that only wise people could comprehend it.
I am not suprised that you cannot.
Cheers.

First, I find the Bible full of interesting stories. I wouldn't consider it boring by any means. It has all of the aspects of great literature: love, adventure, morals, action, etc.

Many of the stories of the Bible have been turned into sucessful and exciting movies, although some of the movies take a few liberties here and there, for example, The Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston.

It may also account for the fact that the Bible is the best selling book of all time.

Instead of a novel, try picking up a Bible and start reading either in Matthew, for the story of Jesus and the Apostles or start in the Old Testamant in Genesis and Exodus.

For a great "love story" try the Song of Solomon or for a story on hardship and rewards, try Job.

I am not surprised at what the world has come to that someone like you would think that way. The Bible itself says in the New Testament Book of Matthew 7:13-14 - that many people will find the road to destruction easy and many will take that road while the road to eternal life and peace will be narrow and difficult and that only a few people will find it - from the words of Christ Himself. When you are born into this world, you don't just get up and start reading or writing; you go to school and learn how to read and write. Before you go back to God, you're born here to learn what to do back where we were originally created for. If you can't learn it, you're garbage and thrown to hell - if you do, you're rewarded... just like the stars you get in school.

As for God, you really have no choice. Picture this: If you built a robot and programmed it to do something, it will just do it. If you programmed it to do what if feels like it wants to do (just like what God did to us), what do you think will happen? Won't you be a bit curious to know if your creation will be loyal to you in the future; that it will continue to serve you knowing that it can choose to leave? You make 1 really advanced robot that defy you and 100 normal robots that are free-willed; that 1 advanced robot will try to get the other 100 to follow him and finish you off - you think you'll gain 100 loyal robots to your side? Don't forget that Satan/Lucifer - the angel of light is also God's creation - His GREATEST creation. Will you follow the created or the creator? For me, that's not even a choice... :)

Dear Friend,

Why do you say he is Evil, he gave you life and free will. He gave his son as a sacrifice for sin, once and for all because he loves you, he will forgive every bad thing that you have ever done you only have to ask him!

Does this sound like a hateful God, not to me. The
Bible brings a message of hope for better things to come and of a new world that will shortly be established. Try studying the Bible and then see whether you think that it is boring?

I truly hope to see you in the Kingdom to come.

God Bless

First off God is not the evil you say he his. The bible is actually a combination of books and letters to other beleivers. The book of Luke are actually letters to his mother about his expreciance with Jesus. And if you don't understand what the Bible is saying then you should go to church. The Bible gives life lessons that can help in your life today. And the preacher is there to help you understand what those lessons are. I hope that you can open your heart to Gods love for you. If it weren't for him that you would not have been born.

I got a cheap bible off Ebay and read some of it but it bored me to tears. Its niv version so modern English but still mega boring. It was like reading a horror story with all the killing, hell and damnation of everything and everybody. Not only that its poorly written.

Your question is a leading one based on 2 false premises, though I rather suspect you don't care and won't listen. It presumes that the Bible is boring - it isn't for me and for multitudes of others. The scripture teaches that the natural mind is the enemy of God and cannot understand spiritual things, hence you need to be born again. The second premise does not naturally flow from the first, and I bet you think God is evil not understanding what is in His Word in the first place.

Well, it may be that people have deliberately found the Bible boring so that they would not have to read it and then find out that God had standards they were clearly not meeting. Then, according to their flawed line of reasoning, they could sin with impunity. Or so they feel ...

first of all, God isn't evil..second, the Bible isn't that boring...it's boring to you (maybe) because you don't have any interest in reading it...lastly, have you read the Bible? There are many amazing things that God has done...if you read it with interest you won't find it boring...:)

Boring is in the eye of the reader.

Sure, they're aren't any modern explosions in there, but it is a very interesting read - as long as you haven't already decided it's boring.

Have you actually read it?

God = Good

The Bible is "boring" if you are reading one with complicated vocabulary or if you are not open to it.
