I wouldn't want to live eternally. Everyone would start looking like stupid little kids after a while, and I'm sure I'd get bored.

Seriously, I think you're talking about the afterworld? Whatever's there, if anything, I'll find out when I get there. In the meantime, I have no intention of sacrificing my life down here, which is the only thing I know for sure is real, for your chimera.

You can't live eternally even if you do believe in a savior. We are all going to die. And, when that happens, it is over. Finished, done, do not pass go, do not collect $200, and most certainly do not enter some eternal place where "streets are lined with gold", "pearly gates", etc.

You immortality comes from the memories that people in this world who's lives you have touched in some way.

I know that I will live on through my children and family. And, I am cool with that.

Nobody lives eternally, pal. Sorry to burst your bubble. Everything that is alive, has lived or will live is going to die.

Your "eternal life" is simply an empty promise with no substantiated proof. Everyone is a sinner, huh? I bet your kids are/will be so well adjusted!

There is no living eternally, and bloody good thing too. Existence itself needs transience, change in all forms, in order to continue. If you could live eternally in one form, it would imply a Universal tendency toward a static, stagnant state. Existence would come to a stop....

I cannot imagine a worse fate.... personally.

Give me the Nihil any day.

no, and don't think I would want to either, not the way this world is going we all have to have something to live for, to look for and to seek, many have their own ways of fulfilling their needs, and many have chosen God for their needs, and I think without God in my life I wouldn't want to live eternally, but with God in my life I do have eternal life, I have something to look forward too..God Bless

No, spanky. Not everyone here is a Christian like you.

Why must we live eternally? Why do we need a "Saviour"? Can you answer me that WITHOUT using parroted Bible tautology?

No, but then I don't believe we can live eternally full stop.

Well at least not until we get the technology to read brain patterns and clone bodies anyway.

Eternal Life and Immortality are two separate issues.

I am the way, the Truth and the Light
No man come to the Father except though me

Repent and be baptised for the Kindgom of Heaven is close at hand

This is a knowledge that makes living life possible,. It helps me through the tough time,s and causes rejoicing in the good times. He is the way, the gate in which we all need to pass in order to receive eternal life. There will be a time when every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ.

I've lived just fine so far. Yes, you can. I choose not to delude myself into thinking a god actually exists. I don't take the comfortable route.
