Dear Friend,

It is just as special as it is to be a valedictorian out of a whole class or to be honored by the Nobel prize. Sometimes people take the holy texts literally, heaven is not only a place of eternal perfection and beauty but what is more important it is a state of being as well. I have been to Hawaii over 10 times it is an amazing place but i would not live there forever because even the most beautiful place on earth is not fun without your loved ones. The most special thing about heaven is that it is a state of being where people do not feel any hate, sorrow, envy, or anything negative. It is a place and state of eternal bliss which could not be achieved no matter what. For instance in Buddhism the equivalent is Nirvana but in order to achieve it you have to dis attach yourself from all desires. The problem is in the act of dis attaching yourself, you are desiring the state of nirvana you are working to get to that state. Hinduism preaches the same for enlightenment. Hope that helps.

Heaven is special because it is where God lives. And that's the place He has promised us to be if we live accordingly to His teaches and examples.
No eye has seen
No ear has heard
What the Lord has prepared
for those who love Him.
1 Corinthians 2:9
Have you ever realized how beautiful our world is? With all the azure bodies of water, the breath-taking sunsets and sunrises, the picturesque views of land formations? Have you? Then if this world created for mortals is beautiful, what more of a world inhabited by the God of the universe!
There is no more suffering or pain there. No more crying, no more tears! Just think about that!

Additional:
Are you kidding? If sinning here on earth is illegal, what more there!

You cant sin in Heaven, it is impossible. It is so special because it is the reward for living a life in the word of Jesus.

Heaven is eternal life with God; communion of life and love with the Trinity and all the blessed.

Heaven is the state of supreme and definitive happiness, the goal of the deepest longings of humanity.

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, "Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like." The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful, but because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, "You have seen Hell."

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.

The holy man said, "I don't understand."

"It is simple" said the Lord, "it requires but one skill. You see, they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves."

With love in Christ.

The Bible isn't all that clear about what heaven is like. My understanding is that "time" isn't a factor anymore ... so we wouldn't have to chose among different activities.

My speculation is that it will involve infinite opportunities to learn ... from the masters ... and then to delight our Father with our progress.

My other speculation is that God has infinitely challenging tasks that need to be done ... and this life sorts out people who will be appreciative, loyal, and devoted to serving God, and can thus be trusted and rewarded with incredible powers.

One thing to consider: how much nicer Earth would be if you could count on everyone having good motives, and trying to do the right thing. WWJD. Our "sin nature" will be absent, replaced by a desire to please God and love our neighbors. About the only laws left would be things like which side of the road to drive on.

Why is heaven so special? Are you kidding?! If you live a pure life and walk with God all the way you'll be delivered into heaven to live in eternal happiness without the pain and suffering of the mortal world.

Heaven and hell are right here. It is always where-ever you are. Hell=hades=death=grave. "Sin" is an error against the natural order of things. It is whatever is destructive to self, others, the natural world. Religion is about control. Spirtuality is about the spirit, and life conduct --- what's your 'attitude'?

I had a vision one time, and was in a place that I saw Jesus. I don't know if it was Heaven, but the experience was indescribably wonderful. I sure am glad that I had that brief encounter. I've survived some tough times since, but at least I've had the sure knowledge that Jesus lives and loves us, and there's a really good place waiting for us.

To go to Heaven, gaze upon Our Lord and Savior, this is the hope of all Christians. It is promised in His words "For who so ever believeth in me shall not perish but have everlasting life."
