Arch0049 brings up an excellent point. Therefore, let me extend my question, who do you think was the most influential as well as the most inspirational?

Regarding Earl's answer; Jesus was reaching out to sinners as Christians should, when eating with them. He was the Divine Healer seeking out those in need of healing.
Paul was speaking that we should be careful of the company that we keep. Yes, Jesus ate with sinners but he wasn't spending recreational hours with prostitutes.

Martin Luther and Martin Luther King were very inspirational.
I think Billy Graham has helped bring thousands to Jesus Christ. He's made the gospel simple. And constantine never was a Christian, his mom was.

If you think that the man who almost single handedly subverted the teachings of Jesus and turned them in to a travesty of what Jesus stood for is inspirational, we disagree a lot.
Paul was a fraud that never meant Jesus yet claimed to be an apostle. The real apostles ran him out of Jerusalem, only accepting the version of Christianity he made up grudgingly much later.
Some of the real apostles were killed trying to defend the true teachings of Jesus from the heresy that Paul was teaching.
Actually Brilliant! s answer right above mine is the closest to the truth.
love and blessings Don

LUTHER IS a good one! Don't laugh, but, I'm trying to be a higher influence than Luther! I'll probably be dead like Disney, before I see my wishes come true though.
The thing I'm trying to get done is WRITTEN in The WORD, but, it seems as though EVERY Church wants it's OWN stream, and a BROOK cuts paths MUCH slower than a RIVER!!

Hmm good question. I think there is difference between inspirational and influential. I would say Inspirational is ... St. Justin or Mother Teresa.

I don't think very much of Paul, sorry.
I don't think he neither understood nor embraced the thinking of Jesus.
Paul said you shouldn't even sup nor sit with a Fornicator, yet Jesus let Mary sooth his brow.
That's a pradox.

St. Bonaventure, who in his expression of the love of God, wrote one of the most beautiful, poetic, definitions of who God is and how His love is shown to us via Christ crucified.
Martin Luther was in many words, the shake up needed within the Church to make reform. But in defining God and Christ in the Christian setting he did little.
That is why I chose, Bonaventure.
Thanks for the opportunity to spread truth, God bless you always.
