why would you allow people to use your pc , but not the cd drive ?

if you dont want people on your computer then put a password in it

there is a software in the market name folder lock use it by this not only the cd rom u can also lock the drives but on ething always remember that dont forget the password

Disconnect the cd-rom IDE cable from your motherboard.

You want to protect your private stuff, not your CD-ROM.

In Control Panel > User Accounts, create a Login Password for you and "keep your files private" when asked.

Create accounts for other users and repeat as above.

Remove the IDE cable... so that nobody can use it, don't tell anyone that u have remove the IDE cable
