I imagine dying and then suddenly being in the presence of GOD. And i hear his voice asking me, "what was in your heart?" and i desperately answer, i didnt know what to think, i wanted to believe, but at the same time i was scared to invest EVERY part of me into something that i didnt know for sure. But i think he would know that i was always sincere when i talked to him. And i've been saved, even though i still sometimes have doubts. i would hope he forgives me for having them. any thoughts?

As a christian, my judgement happened 2000 years ago on the cross of Jesus Christ!

All that awaits believers is the "BEMA" seat of Christ where He will hand out rewards based on works AFTER salvation.
(salvation itself is not based on works, but faith thru grace)

For non believers (non christians) you unfortunately have TWO judgements awaiting. 1. your judgement at death
2. The Great White Throne Judgement (Revelation 19,20)
(both lead to hell)

Read Revelation about the church of Laodecia. Jesus said they were neither hot or cold, they were luke warm so He VOMITTED out of His mouth. Get off the fence girl, there is a constant spiritual battle going on since the garden.
Are you a soldier in the army of Christ or aren't you?

Good Question!

The Egyptians once believed that the heart recorded all of the good and bad deeds of a person's life, and was needed for judgment in the afterlife. After a person died, the heart was weighed against the feather of Maat (goddess of truth and justice). The scales were watched by Anubis (the jackal headed god of embalming) and the results recorded by Thoth (the ibis-headed god of writing). If a person had led a decent life, the heart balanced with the feather and the person was rendered worthy to live forever in paradise with Osiris. Pretty much all afterlife fables have this sort of judgment story. Christianity borrowed it from ancient religions.

I agree that some undesirable issues have befell. i'm a christian yet - 6 million jews - Gods chosen human beings? The holocaust would desire to have been the worst element in all history - however the quantity slaughtered on condition that then would desire to come a especially close 2d! Its guy's inhumanity to guy its purely horrendous - in the top the relax jews didnt die - Hitler could have had each jew in Europe murdered so i assume you may desire to declare thank God the allies gained. The 2ww exchange right into a great conflict of sturdy v evil. undesirable evil is in a foreign country in the international thats for particular. each little thing has its opposite - wager what that would desire to be? or who?

I see a lot of myself in you. For many years - I sort of wanted to believe - but I just wasn't sure. And there seemed no way to be sure. Plus - I'd been told that if I didn't believe that I would go to hell. So part of me tried to believe out of fear - and the other part just tried to live a good life.

Not long ago - I realized that God is LOVE. It's not a man - or a "Big Daddy in the Sky." It's a power. It's a huge power - that is bigger than I can imagine - It is everything - and everything is It. It works through me. It works through everything and everyone. It has wonderful qualities - love, peace, joy, compassion - and on and on. Those are our God given qualities. Ours to use!

And God is not going to judge us. God is love. We won't go to hell - and burn. Our path is not to live our lives because we are scared of being judged. We are here to do good things - to find our purpose and act on it.

The rules that religions have put into place - may work for some. I believe they truly help some people to be the best people they can be. But please - DON'T live your life out of fear. You say that you are scared to invest EVERY part of you into something that you didn't know for sure. That's understandable. But you DO know for sure that love exists - don't you? That's God. It's here for you to use!

And know too that forgiveness is one of our God given qualities. We are able to do it. And if we are able to forgive - then God - is full of forgiveness.

Hope this makes sense to you. If you want to chat further - just send a note.

Namaste!

I'll never understand how all you crazy people could possibly believe in some crazy B.S like "god".

You really have to realize that there is NO GOD, and there will be no JUDGEMENT DAY. Use your brains.

Anyways, why would an all-knowing "god" ask questions... oh yeah... because he doesn't exist!

To all who believe in god: go get educated. I'll help introduce you to the real world if you want

I believe His first question would be "What did you do about my Son?" In other words, did you accept His sacrifice for the forgiveness of your sins.
Because if you have not, according to the Bible, you will not be in heaven very long.
Just my thoughts.

He will ask me what I did for this man Jesus since I was saved.

He will try my works. I pray that none of them will burn.

I pray that I hear the words, Well done, thou good and faithful servant, thou has been faithful over a few things."

We will not be asked questions! We will not be going for an interview! We will be told and shown our entire life then we will know where we will go from there.

No questions. God doesn't exist.

Don't worry about some tyrant God holding you to each and every guilt trip perpetrated on your throughout your life. Instead, just live your life well and try to live up to just being a decent person who leaves this Earth a bit better than you found it.

Why would an all-knowing creature have questions?

I have many questions to this God creature, btw. But I'm sure he doesn't have an answer that will convince me of His good intentions.
