oooh he's over protective, but are you really thinking about staying with this guy forever?
if you stay with him just because he makes you feel good...maybe you should give him up...
but if you see love in him and he treats you well...you should stay with him?
your dad needs to see that you control your own life, not him.
you decide what you see in this boy, and judge whether he's worth "defying" your father.

I would not break up with him, but i would tell your BF and you to maybe "chill" when you are around your dad. You are your fathers daughter and he is concerned for your well being. Just respect your dad and relax. He may be controling but you are getting older and soon you will be going to college and more on your own and making your own decisions. Maybe talk to your dad and let him know that he may be smothering you too much but keep in mind that he is caring for you.

Well your dad is just trying to protect you, Your boyfriend is going to have to learn his boundries. If you don't want him all over you then you need to tell him to respect you and your father. dads just want whats best for their kids.
