should mechanical or industrial engineers go for linux?

can redhat certification (rhce) help mechanical or industrial engineers? is knowlege in linux or some certification beneficial in these fields?

I'm a mechanical engineer and a linux geek. I can't see any way that linux certification could help you in either of those fields.

Most companies are indeed switching from Unix to Linux. It runs much faster
