I live in New England, so I agree with you. I have lived here for most of my life. However, I also lived in California, and get tell you the fresh king crab legs in San Fransisco were amazing. From travels and visits, I also love fresh gulf water oysters and soft shell crabs, and of course blue crab of Maryland. Haddock is probably my favorite, but I have found comprable white fishes at all these locations as well. But I guess, home is where my heart is,and I'll have to say, nobody has lobster or clam chowder like New England.

Even though I am a southerner, I agree that lobster, haddock, clams and any fish chowda is best from New England waters! However, being a southerner, I like my oysters from Appalachiola, FL, shrimp caught during the season by my daddy in Beaufort, SC.

The garden. Carrots, cucumbers, celery, corn.
And candy.
I prefer these c foods to formerly living sea food any day.

The Canadian Maritimes all the way! You can get it all here and you'll never tire of dining just minutes from where your dinner was caught :-)
