Affect and effect are two words that are commonly confused.

"Affect" is usually a verb meaning "to influence".

The drug did not affect the disease.

"Effect" is usually a noun meaning "result".

The drug has many adverse side effects.

"Effect" can also be used as a verb meaning "to bring about".

The present government effected many positive changes.

An effect is something that happens because of a cause or agent. Such as 'cause and effect'

Affect is a concious emotional aspect considered apart from bodily changes. Such as loving someone and feeling 'Affection' for them.

So effect is the result of something happening
And affect is an emotion, an experienced emotion

Good morning.... The word (effect) is to accomplish, to put into action, to execute, to do. Also..something that inevitably follows an antecedent (as a cause or agent).
The word (affect) is to act upon, to have an influence on someone or something, or cause them to change. The conscious subjective aspect of an emotion considered apart from bodily changes.

Affect means you are touched by something or someone.Affected by a situation.Effect means , to get the best out of the way you dress or how you furnish you home.To create the best Effect. Effective means a certain way to put something acoss to another party.Effective treatment / speech /conversation.

affect is how one action or item acts upon another, effect is the result.

and example would be....the affected lack of understanding of jihad resulted in the election of the pelosi/reid regime to this congressional session.

the effect of the pelosi/reid regieme through creative use of that dissatisfaction was the installation of numerous tax and spend schemes the electorate never wanted that will adversly impact the economy for years to come.

Affect means to "give the appearance of" -to "seem" to... : Effect means result or consequence. (it had the same effect as a slap in the face....)
