I have had digestive problems for 2 yrs now. I had an endoscopy seven months after it all began when Prilosec, and Nexium didn't help. Nothing came out. I burp consistently, I can't eat any green peppers or tomato sauce becuase I would burp all night and not be able to sleep. At times I get a sharp pain on my right and it awakens me. I have spent well over $200 in co-pays trying to figure this out, the only answers I get is stress; My life is pretty good, and I know I'm not stressed or depressed.. Anyone have any answers??

One of the most important systems we have is digestion

If you have taken a lot of anti-biotics - you have killed all the good flora and stuff that helps you digest - so you need to take what is called a pro-biotic to put that back in -

could be in the form of yogurt - there a new brand that has a special bacterium that is really good -

also - chlorinated water - kills stuff in the municipal water system - and when it gets to our house - it's still good enough to mimic an antibiotic and kill the digestive system - So I drink filtered water (Brita) and shower in a filtered shower.

I also use a juicer and would recommend what a friend calls the potassium drink - if you don't have a juicer - here's a great salad for you

spinach/ celery/ carrots - - - this will help digestion from both sides of the coin - either constipation or diarrhea

and a cup of yogurt before bed at night -

all the best

It could be caused by the way you eat. Are you swallowing air? this would cause the excess gas (air) in your stomach.
You may be allergic to more foods, than you think, too. Try to keep a journal of the things you eat and eliminate those that cause you distress. The same applies to drinks, too.
It's also possible to have a bacterial infection, in your stomach. Have you been tested for it?
These are just a few ideas as to what could be causing your problems and I hope you find some relief soon.

Hi !! I'm sorry you are having so much discomfort with your digestive system. You have already gotten some great advice. I just answered a question regarding IBS, perhaps you have symptoms of bloating and gassiness as well?? If so, check out my profile and you will see the detailed response I gave on that question. I believe a lot of that information will be quite useful for you................:0)

You need to try by elimination what is suiting you and what is not. Food allergies are pretty difficult to locate and treat. Once you identify the culprit, either try NAET or give up that food.

Anxiety is making you burp and overly sensitive to food.

you may have stress and not admitting it. Or falling asleep too quick can cause acid influx. I am not a doctor, but I recommend a second opinion
