I bought new ballet flats yesterday because they were SOO cute and SOOO cheap! ;)

But after walking in them for a few hours they are really hurting the back of my feet.
They pinch my skin at the back of my feet above the heel (what's that called?)

Are there any shoe inserts or pads I can use?
Please don't tell me to use a bandaid/cotton/sticky tape.

The shoes are the right size. By "pinch" I mean that the back of the shoe comes up rather high, and is a little rough.

It hurts at the area right behind the ankle.

Sometimes shoes can pinch when you wear them because the size is too small.

What you describe with the skin sounds a lot like a blister.

You may need to go up one size to see if that helps solve your problem.

They could be hurting because they where cheap (E.G. last lot from a 'sweatshop').

And yes there are Loads of Shoe Insert pads you can use.
You can get these inserts from chemists, Supermarkets and you can get specially fitted ones from doctors(expensive).

I would NOT recommend using Band-aids or stuff like that because i found that they do scrunch up and fall off while walking/running.

Hi, if they are leather there is a stretching spray available from department stores and shoe repairers. I had a similar experience when I first wore a pair of synthetic ballet flats. A friend told me to wear stockings and it really helped. I hope t works for you too.

You have to gradually wear your new shoes. For the first day, wear them for an hour, increase the hours the next day to 2 to 3 hours until your feet will get used to them. You can also use short socks or stockings enough to cover your feet. Alternatively, if all else fails, I think its best not to wear them. Believe me its not nice to have sore feet.

Sorry, but i will have to tell you what you don't want me to say...use bandaid before putting on those pretty flats. This will help you avoid those nasty and painful blisters. Use the bandaids till you got the hang of the shoes. It works for me everytime. i hope this works for you as well. Goodluck!
