If the car was hit in the front end you beatcha! The air bag systems in most cars are designed to deploy even if the car is turned off. The thought of this is that there may be a possibility of the car being occupied with the car off and having the car hit in the front. There for the air bag are designed to deploy even if the car is turned off. The car must suffer some form of front end impact for this too occurs however.

You have to start ur car. Most of the time, u need to have ur seatbelts on too for the airbag to deploy.
