hello there,

I'll tell you the difference from the experience of 7 years in unemployment :

foreigners' jobs Saudis' jobs
1-all the benefit you can imagine No or less benefit
in term of medical care,trans- portations,vacations .

2- advantage in applying for MUST have all certi-
jobs over Saudis even if carries ficates proves any-
no or few certificates thing he claims
to have skill for

(sometimes only experience is enough for foreigner)

3-higher salaries and low salaries during propa-
wages because they tion time and (big if) they
come all the way from still survives then rised to
thier country poor thing another $100 USD or so
and they have been for another year and then
signing contracts sign a contract with say:
before the even arrive initial $500-700USD
say:$1500USD MINUS $50 for G.O.S:-
(it's a retirment plan for saudi workers on private companies)

4-foreigners get air tickets ARE YOU KIDDING!
yearly to visit thier countries only in your dreams!
(round-ticket)+40 to60 days you have 30 days that's
it OR ELSE!
Besides, employers' prefer foreigners because normally they are not muslims(works on holydays),have no family here distract them from concentrating on work or ask for early leave to go with a sick mother or wife to the hospital,
they can work for long hours, they accepts minor jobs like sales men or shop keepers, they can live togather with their work-mates (usually from same asian country) in a dromotories or housing(saudis can't because they normally want to get married and prefer independence and can't even comprehend what other indians, pakistani, phillipno, bangladis
people are saying and saudis apperantly have nothing in commen with them)
Finally i'll tell you a story that happend to me while applying for a job in a hospital which proves what am saying :

i made this zelion100000000000000000000000000000000
trips between goverment workers' office and many places thaey refer me to untill finally i've been transferd to a major hospital in jeddah namely(union hospital) i went to the personnel office and presented the referal paper the workers' office gave me to show them the employee said "okie,well,ahhhh.....the personnel manager is not here today he is in a meeting can u come back tommorw" i said "ok,when" he says"ummm...7am". I came back the next day i waited untill 9:40am the manager showed up i met him he was facinated by my skills and 3 spoken languages BUT he said :"well, son i only have this -reciptionist- or -operator-
job if you like it i can refer you to the person in charge in you can start tommrow" i said"ok what is the salary?" he goes"$500USD, maybe it will rise later god knows!" i said "fine". And i went back to the one in charge to have my paper work done so i can start with them.HERE IS THE BEST PART. While i was wating for my paper an egyptian man dressed like a doctor entered the room and said to the personnel"hello am doctor -so&so- ...."and before he even finishis his words the personnel JUMPED from his chair ans said with excitment "hiiiiiii ,hello doctor how are u,how was your trip?were you tired ?yaaa,i hope you liked your hotel.did you have a good sleep last night?.ok,goood"
doctor:"i brought my document and certificates in case you need them?" personnel" Nooooo, no need "and then shouted to one of the nurses"hey! nurse! come here""please doctor go with this nurse and she will guide you to your clinic and office, and if you need anything just call me"!!!!

well big difference. first, the salary offer, saudi people were compensated more that foreign workers. jobs for saudi people is a lot more easier coz they can communicate in their own language while for foreign it's very difficult 'coz even if they're already speaking in english, we still cannot understand due to enunciation & pronunciation of words. like for me, i'm a filipino, we're using american accent, saudi and other nationalities are using british accent. Saudi people can always have a descent house while other nationalities, just stay in place where their employer puts them, sometimes in an old and disgusting barracks or in the middle of the dessert (I know some). good for me, i was just given a housing allowance and i find myself a good place to stay.

it's the same Jobs the diffrence between them is the foreigner worker gets a cheaper salary but the good part is the ministry of the labours made some % of number of Saudi's who must be working in the company for them to get forigners they are not doing a great job but it's better than many other things

Foreigners do any work that the Saudis choose not to do. They're often in jobs that they don't have any skills for. The mentality among most Saudis is pure stupidity. There are hardly any Arabs working in engineering.

Nice question. The difference is all the administration/clerical and managerial positions are reserved for Saudi citizens and for technical fields, if they did not find a suitable Saudi candidate then this position will goes to the expatriates.

Recently the Saudi government has implemented all the jobs, not only the higher positions but like salesman, cashier, driver etc also reserved for citizens as part of their localization (Saudization) movement.

Cheers.

There are two categories of foreign workers there: the peons, who do the dirty work (gardening, hauling the garbage, construction labor, etc.), usually called TCN's (Third Country Nationals); and skilled technical folk, who do jobs for which Saudis are not well trained.
