Well for every person it is different - a couple days isn't that long but who knows how long they were together, or why they broke up - those are key factors that detirmines how long a person might need to heal.

It never hurts to be his friends and see where that takes the two of you. BEing his friend will help you understand where his head is at, protects you from being the rebound girl because he is lonely, or the girl he uses to get his ex jealous. Plus being his friend right now helps build trust. Make sure that if you decide to be his pal right now that you will be patient enough to let him come to you, and that he doesn't feel preassured that you want MORE than what he might be capable of giving you right now.

You never know unless you try. Life is all about make choices, when it comes to love you should follow your heart verses what you might want, your heart always knows whats best. And if you go for it when your heart tells you to you can never regret not taking oppertunities when you are presented with them.

Good Luck

It all depends on how deeply the feelings ran in the last relationship. I fell in love with a guy that I was dating a decade ago and we broke up seven years ago, it took me nearly two years to be able to move past our break up. I'm not going to say that I ever got over him, but I was able to move forward with my love life after nearly two years. That two year remission period was filled with I don't know how many rebound relationships.
I think you should go for it after a few weeks but be prepared for a possible rebound relationship.

it depends on the type of person. if it was be trying to ask someone out who just broke up with their gf id say like no less then a month. maybe sooner if you are brave but first be a good friend and just slowly flirt more and more and then when you know it would be a good time just sorta hint that you are avaliable and want to date them. good luck :]

NO!NO!NO!NO! honey, getting over someone never happens. (not fully) once you love someone, you will always love them at least a little bit. please wait to ask him out. I am in the same boat you are. My crush broe up with his gf 3 days ago. he told me hed never get over her totally and told me to give him a few more days and he`d be ready to love again. give it at least another week please. if you want him to say yes you will do exactly what i said.

Ask him out now. Don't push it too quickly, and be wary if he wants to move quickly, as he might be on the rebound. And, realize he might go back to her. But, go for it girl! If you wait, you might lose out.

Answered this one already...

Ask him out for coffee or other innocuous things. You'll be able to sense if he's ready for something / someone else in time. Stay in communication with him.

I think that you should do it soon because he will probably feel good that someone likes him. He will most likely say yes and forget about the old girl.
