Because Christianity is actually NOT a religion.
Therefore whenever one consider it to be another religion, it looks silly.
But look at Christianity as it ought to be: The Good News from the Kingdom of Heaven. And Jesus as the King. From this perspective, you will see it totally different, even the most appealing among every other faith on earth.

Have you actually studied other religions, including those who worship animals, add to the bible, force their women to keep their faces and feet covered, believe that once you take communion the bread actually turns into jesus's flesh, those who can marry as many women as they wish, or those who believe they are the only ones going to heaven but for some reason they still parade around telling others about god, or are you just trying to pick a fight with christians? Sounds to me like you should know "of all the religions" before you say that chrisitanity is "the silliest".

Because God made it that way. In the book of first Corinthians Paul explains to us that God purposely made the teaching of the cross " foolishness" so that people could not obtain eternal life by their own efforts. If people could obtain eternal life by human reason there would be many people who would be denied heaven. It would only be the intellectual people who would be there. This way it is available to everyone.

I think you were raised a Christian...correct? I was raised a Musim...and nothing seems sillier to me than Islam. ;)
Christians and Muslims have more in common than they think...Arrogance, thinking they are the only ones right, fake sense of superiority...they would make the best of friends! But unfortunately people who control them and their belief, continue to make them fight..ever wonder why?
