It would be meat, fruit, nuts. Maybe the occasional fish.

perfect sense. I often think to myself that a grocery store is 90% fake food, the rest is actual food. A fruit market is probably only 30% fake food. I also wonder if people think about that when shopping for groceries..probably not. LOL

I've read several sources that agree with you, although hunter and gatherer peoples were not all alike. They ate different foods in different places of the world. Meat was almost the only source of food in the most northern parts of North America, but only a small amount of the total food source in some African areas etc. Some groups ate a lot of fish and some groups had less access to fish. I've seen some diet books that recommend determining your body type and choosing from among hunter gatherer diets. I've also seen a blog featuring a guy who lived for several weeks on non-human primate food to see what would happen. He stayed healthy but the food was hard to get down.

Yes. It makes sense to eat a diet that does not involve processed foods with a bunch of garbage as additives. A diet of meat, fruit, nuts AND vegetables is very sensible. Make sure that the meats are lean and fish is great, too.

Early humans required a larger amount of protein to survive. It also is what allowed the brain to expand to it's current size. Early man also needed this high protein diet just for the required energy to live in his environment.

Now I am a meat and spuds type of guy but modern humans probably do not require as much animal protein although proper balance of meat, veggies and fruit makes sense.

Absolutely. However, some humans such as most north Europeans have also evolved the ability to digest cow's milk
because their ancestors drank it for thosands of years. The key is whole, natural foods, not refined or processed. It is called the Paleolithic Diet.

I am not sure that cavemen lived very long. So, I hate to rain on your parade, but a diet with mostly whole grains, veggies and fruits with protein provided by fish and turkey would probably be better for you.

And cavemen obviously didn't have shortened life spans due to a lack of medical technology, medicine, and a higher threat of death on a daily basis...

Yes, this is a very healthy way to eat.
