Christinaity is often as religious as they come. Ask the Roman Catholics about Christianity, and you will here a lot about religious traditions, and rituals.
But to those who are into the word of God, it's a relationship. What's important about keeping it as a religion is when the government comes to mind. If we were to lose our status as a religious institution, the tax exempt status would go out the window.
So in matters of state, we are a religion. But to us personally, it's a relationship where we can get as close as possible to our God and King.

The bible was writen by man as well, so if it has to be gods word to allow a religion to be based on it then anything based on it is false.

Men did. And they did it so they could make money off people, kind of freeload off the generosity of their followers.
Try and deny it but thats all any religion has ever done.
