Uninstall the microsoft upgrade advisor, and run one of the numerous online Vista compatibility tests.

P.S. Hold off upgrading to vista until after the first service pack has been released because right now Vista is junk.

Do I understand you to say you ran the upgrade advisor to see if your computer can run Vista?

What are you trying to upgrade from?

If the advisor examined your PC and gave you no message, obviously your PC can't run Vista. I ran the XP advisor on my Pentium III and got a message that it wouldn't work and why.
