Weight loss surgery-like gastric bypass /lap band surgery / stomach stapling and gastrectomy have become very common and very safe now. My cousin got her Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery in India. She has lost more than 65 lbs in 5 months and is very happy with the results. The price for obesity surgery is very less in India. My cousin just paid 25% of the cost she was quoted in America. She got her surgery from a company called Forerunners Healthcare.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as bariatric surgery and weight loss surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your Obesity surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

Honey, just the way you word your question, begging for help, leads me to believe you want to be helped rather than do the work yourself. It is pretty overwhelming when the full situation of our physical shape hits us, isn't it? I am not trying to be cruel, I have been where you are!
I had the gastric bypass in 1994.
I had it reversed in 2000 because I was dieing of starvation.
90 pounds is not enough for the surgery to qualify. One must be at least 100 pounds overweight. At least in Canada.
This is NOT a weight loss plan. It is a change for life. No doctor will consider it until you have proven you have tried all other routes first. I am telling you, you do not want to risk your life if excercise and a little hunger are what will save you from it. Chances are, if you seriously try, you will end up losing the weight. Honestly, this must be a LAST ditch surgery for people over 500 pounds, it is just not safe.
After the surgery, I lost 45 pounds in the first few months. Within a year I had gone from 255 down to a fine 150 and was very happy. But then, it kept on getting worse. My options of food kept narrowing. One thing after another had to be removed from my list. For three years I lived on cheese, crackers, milk, chocolate, and water. Nothing else stayed down. Then I could not get THEM down! Within 4 months I went from 150 down to 85 and was so weak and ill I had to go to the hospital just to get WATER and liquid through an IV.
The doctors told me I was anorexic, bulimic, but I knew something was wrong. My own GP lied to me about my condition even. Finally I found one who reversed it for me. It took almost five years to grow back my hair and nails because malnutrition had taken its toll. Malnutrition had also made me almost insane due to lack of nutrition.
I would rather be large and alive than skinny and dead tyvm.
These surgeries are NOT perfect. It has been proven that a huge percentage of those who have it end up with a different addition than food. Often, alcohol. Sometimes sex.
After my attempt at "easy loss", I finally believe that proper diet, lots of water, exercise, and attitude are what you need. Not to spend thousand of $$ MANY thousands of $$$. Think of all the clothes you could buy after doing it on your own.
Honey, I understand that feeling of desperation, honestly I have been there. But I would NEVER recommend surgery to a single soul after my experience.

From what I hear, the people who do this make you try to live a healthy life style for a while before they will do the surgery.Speaking as someone who is currently losing weight, I would suggest trying Jenny Craig. I have lost 30 lbs. since November and am feeling a lot better about myself. Good luck to you.

okay..my friend had a gastric bypass...and it almost killed her..
she still hasn't lost the weight.....
she still has to watch what she eats...and exercises..so what is the point
so I would tell people not to do it..
You honestly want to lose weight..then take it in baby steps..
there are plenty of people that are more than willing to hold your hand through this process..
it's all about eating the right foods...reducing stress..getting out and just doing some form of exercise wether it is running in the streets or just walking the dog.
I seriously doubt ophra and star jones actually lost the weight due to surgeries...then had cooks/dieticians and trainers to look the way they do...

I don't know anything about surgery but there is a book called Eat More, Weigh Less by Dean Ornish, M. D. Sounds silly but it works well.
