I don't remember where, but in the bible, it tells of a man who was a commander in an army. God tells him to tell his men to get a drink of water out of a river. If the man stuck his head in the water to get a drink, he could not be used, but if he made his hands a cup, and reached in the water to get a drink, he could be used. Could you tell me the chapter, verse, and book of the bible this was in? 10 points to the first correct answer!

You have the story a little skewed, but you are talking about Gideon and his men, Judges 7:1-9

Judges 7:1-8. This is the story of God sifting out the army of Israel, under the direction of the judge Gideon, so that He could lead them into battle and victory over Midian, who was oppressing them. Read further along in chapter 7 and into the first 21 verses of chapter 8 to see how this victory comes about.

You got it a bit wrong.

And, verily, whosoever pulleth a Perrier from their fannypack cannot serve in the Lord's army.
