Dexatrim is garbage, don't waste your money.

There is no magic weight-loss pill, supplement, fad diet, or juice. The ONLY way to lose weight is to consume less calories than you burn. Brad Pitt didn’t get buff for Fight Club by drinking green tea and you won’t either.

The only way to lose weight is to consume less calories than you burn.

To lose weight, experts agree you need to exercise for at least 30 minutes at 60%-70% of your Max Heart Rate (MHR). A simple way to calculate MHR is 220 minus your age. So if you’re 45 years old, for example, your MHR would be 220-45=175. 60% of 175 is 105, and 70% of 175 is 122.5. So you should exercise daily for 30 minutes at a heart rate between 105 and 123.

You don’t need additional equipment—infomercial products like the Ab Lounger, Sauna Belt, etc. are all worthless gimmicks so don’t waste your money.

Eat breakfast, and eat five small meals per day instead of three big meals. If you don't wake up ravenous, then you ate too much the day before. Stop eating at least two hours before you go to bed. Cut back on the foods you eat with high fat and high sugar content. Eat only single servings (read the label) with less than 3 grams trans fat and 3 grams sugars. Become familiar with websites like http://chubbyloser.com that contain good information on what to eat, including supplements.

Don't consume alcohol—alcohol is nothing more than empty calories with no nutritional value. Some people will argue that alcohol has some health benefits when consumed in moderation—I’m not debating that—but we’re talking about weight loss here. Lay off the booze if you want to lose the belly.

Drink lots of water, then drink more. Not tea, not Gatorade, not milk. Water. If your urine isn’t almost clear, you need to drink more water.

Woof.

Diet pills may work for a short time, as most of them will speed up your heart rate (which can be very dangerous.) They have a lot of ingredients which can cause other problems including liver and kidney damage.

The only thing that really works is better eating habits which become a way of life, and exercise, exercise, exercise.

I know that people do not like to hear that, but it is the truth. It is the only way that I have found to keep my weight at a manageable amount, and the only way that I am at my best; healthwise.

One of my friends was in a similar situation to you a few years ago, and tried one of the diet supplements, and she ended up having a heart attack, being rushed to the hospital at the age of thirty; and having to have days of testing to find out what happened.

She has recovered, but still has to have heart health check ups a couple of times a year because she ended up with some heart muscle damage.
She did not have a history of heart problems, but this diet product just was too strong for her circulatory system.

If you are still determined to try any of these products, you need to have a complete physical beforehand, and discuss the products with your doctor.

Good luck and congratulations on your son, children are wonderful gifts in our lives.

This is just my experience with diet pills...Yes i have tried Dexatrim Max. The first day was ok, second day was ok, but after awhile, i literally felt like i was doing an illegal drug. What i mean by that is i felt like i was on speed, matter of fact, ive heard dexatrim's nickname is speed. My eyes were always dilated(sp), i was always dizzy, nauseated, i just felt like i was going a hundred miles per hour constantly. Id say a year or two went by before i tried another. That HydroxyCut, same exact thing happend, but with this one i felt like i was going to pass out at any moment. I read all the directions, i ate right, ive always exercised so that wasnt nothing new. They arent required to test those diet pills, and they are never approved by the FDA. However yes i did lose a couple of pounds while taking them, i was a complete mess, forgetting things, couldnt focus, just feeling like crap and like if i hadnt just taken one, i felt real weak. I used to be about 195 or so, and im 5'3 so thats not a good look for my short self. As all the trainers and doc's say, diet and exercise is what always works. I'm a poor college student so eating completely right all the time isnt living in the real world for me. I stopped drinking pop for one, even the clear kind like sprite or 7up isnt good(i tried to make it better than dark pop but theyre all the same lol). Eating 6small meals a day is better than eating 3meals plus a bunch of snacks in between. Exercise is key also, going 3times a week or so and really working out is better than what i used to do, go about 2x a week every other week. When i did this, id workout for like hours, trainers say that jus tires your body out, it doesnt tone or help lose weight. One more thing, when you do start working out, forget the scale, muscle weighs more than fat, so when it looks like your weight isnt dropping on the scale were probably burning calories and building muscle. After all of that, Im not 195 anymore, I go back and forth between 155 and 150, im just fine with that. I know one thing for sure, i didnt use any diet pills to lose that weight! I know this sounds real corny, but just believe you can do it please dont give up as long as you keep it up, diet and exercise will work. Good luck!
