Im 14 and started weight lifting last august. I was in the gym every day doing different muscles every other day. I now have stretch marks on my biceps and back what can i do to prevent them from getting worse as well as prevent them from happining at all.

Stretch marks can occur from over-stretching (as is done in weight lifting). It is caused by the tissue under your skin tearing. You can't prevent them...unless you give up weight lifting.

Your stretch marks will gradually become much less noticeable but will never go away as they are similar to scars. However, you can see a dermatologist to discuss treatment. Here are a few options:

1. tretinoin cream (commonly known by the trade name Retin-A)
2. laser therapy
3. light therapy (new)

Your health insurance plan will not cover "cosmetic" procedures so you'll probably want to find out what this will cost.
