You can file a joint return IF your wife gets an ITIN AND she agrees to have her world wide income taxed by the US. Failing either of those you must file Married Filing Separately.

contact a tax preparer or accountant to find out the rules. she may have to get a ssn, even if she isn't a resident if you plan to claim her.
