I have a gun metal grey 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. I plan on tinting the windows, and throwing some cop hubcaps on my car also. And put three antennas on my trunk. IS this illegal to imitate a undercover cop car? What can they do to me, if they pull me over?

I didn't say i was going to put lights in mar car, or harass people. I said what would happen to me if car looked like an undercover car?

it might not be illegal unless you act out and try to harass people------but the real boys will see you a mile away and you can be quite sure they are going to be watching you-----and if given any opportunity you might get hassled or roughed up-----is it worth this to you just to fool people?

I'm a cop and I have no idea what cop hubcaps are. Put as many antennas in your car as you want, it doesn't make it an imitation cop car. Put blue & red lites on it somewhere and you have a different story.

you can have all the grey cars with tinted windows you want. if you put any lights on the dash, or start to act like a cop, then you will have an issue.
* around here it would have to be a white Ford LTD.

Well, depending on the state you live in, the dark tint on your windows will get you a big fat ticket from a real cop.
