Sounds like ringworm. Please take your cat to the Vet. Ringworm is very contagious and you can become infected as well.

Does s/he go outside? If so, she could have had a run in with another cat. If there is swelling or any type of discharge, it could be a puncture wound that may abcess. Get him/her to the vet as soon as you can. With no swelling or puncture wound, it could also be ringworm. Your vet will be able to asess whether or not it is ringworm.

could be a bite, abcess. If it is a abcess it may become swollen and possibly rupture. You should take your cat to the vet.

I am not sure but thats a good question for your vet, isn't that what we have vets for.Take her to the vet please.
