They are a nation based on terror, it is quite fitting they chose him to represent them. Sharon was a terrorist as well, and was cherished in the eyes of the Israelis for his war crimes against humanity.

Israel is founded by a group of gangs, so who you expect the leader to be. I think good Israeli people should leave Israel and go to any country. In a short time Israel will be expired and will be treated like nuclear waste. All the fake history they teach in their schools is nonsense and all the old people know that.
A message to the young generation and normal humans if there are still few of them in Israel you should leave this land and find another home if you don't want to be in hell soon.

He wasn't the only one ! Many of the Israeli l'ship were ex terrorists ........ Members of either the Irgun or Stern Gangs . So according to the rules of some, it is okay to kill British soldiers or Police if it will further the cause ! With that sort of mentality is it any wonder that the problems faced today are as far away from a solution as ever . A nation founded on hate , prejudice & plain lies will always have enemies !

Please, the Irgun was nothing like Al-Qaeda (however you want to spell it). There's no room for comparison there at all. Your question is a headline meant to twist people's perceptions. Was George Washington also like Osama Bin-Laden? Maybe Gandhi's followers were also like Al-Qaida? Joan of Arc?

Edit: There's a world of difference between targeting British soldiers and innocent civilians. Irgun targeted the former, and al-Qaida targets the latter. The Irgun attempted to gain independence on its own soil, al-Qaida exports terrorism to other countries. Palestinian terror groups would be much more respectable if instead of sending homicide bombers to kill innocent civilians, or gunmen to shoot innocent civilians, they actually formed a milita and tried to fight. Still wrong, but more respectable than targeting civilians. As I said, it is a world of difference. For your comparison, you can research the treatment American royalists received durring the American Revolution.

Your assumed comparison of the two groups (Irgun and Al Qaeda) is incorrect. The objectives of the two organizations are/were quite different and while Irgun was primarily defensive Al Qaeda is aggressive and expansionist. Also, Irgun's "terrorist" activities were primarily directed at the British military while Al Qaeda flies jumbo jets into buildings full of civilians and beheads helpless captives.

Al Qaeda is a perversion upon the face of the earth.

Objectives:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_qaeda:

Elimination of foreign influence in Muslim countries
Eradication of those deemed to be "infidels"
Elimination of Israel
Creation of a new Islamic caliphate

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irgun:

Provide a non-Socialist alternative to the leading Zionist organizations;
Eliminate or reduce the threat of Arab attacks on Jewish targets by assured and harsh retaliation for such attacks;
Bring to an end the British mandatory rule, which they considered in violation of international law

That, Friend, is a question that no Israeli (or American) politician wishes to answer, after their condemnation of one-time 'terrorist' (i.e., Freedom Fighter) Yassir Arafat. Isn't strange how our governments pick and choose their so-called "terrorists"?

Do you not know that in WESTERN DICTIONARY ..... any act by Muslims is Terrorism and Same by Jews is SELF DEFENSE.

We see people by eyes of our interests only.

As long as I remember AL-QAIDA has NEVER issued MISSION STATEMENT on Wikipedia.
