Anything u like...! treat it as a body art.. Get something meaningful .. There are so many tattoo haters out there just trying to bring u down so that they will feeling good about them self(coz they are afraid of pain or scare their parent will chase them out of the house) Giving all the crap saying tattoo look like trash... Have u every seen trash before coz tattoo dun look abit like that. i think they are blind. It dun have to be the nicest tattoo but a meaningful one is good enough... Tattoo is a form of body mods, even a simple ear piercing is counted.. And i'm sure most of the tattoo haters have it. Evening putting make up is a form of mods if u really thinking carefully. God give u a wonderful face but people will mod it into something nicer(with lip gross,eye liner etc).. So tattoo hater themself are not that good after all... We are all the same...

There are two halves to your question, and I'll give you my answers to each.
Firstly, "what tattoo should I get?" This can only ever be your decision, regardless of where you're intending to have a tattoo placed. The most successful tattoos generally have personal significance so it's essentially a question of giving it some thought and working out what means enought to you for you to want it in a tattoo design.
Secondly, the "on the back of my neck" part. Personally, I don't feel that I can judge a person's worth based on the tattoos they do or don't have, but as many of the other answers will probably have indicated to you, a lot of people feel otherwise. And a tattoo on your neck is difficult to conceal at times when you don't want it on display. (OK, women maybe have more scope for long hair to cover it up, but it's still going to be pretty visible.) For this reason a lot of tattoo artists won't do tattoos on necks, or certainly will want to be very sure that the person getting tattooed is very very sure of their decision. And the fact that you're concerned about "looking like trash" suggests to me that maybe you aren't sure enough at this point.
I won't tell you what to do - it's absolutely your decision whether or not to get this tattoo, just as what design you choose is. But I will say that you should give it a lot of thought beforehand - especially if it's your first tattoo.

I have a snowflake on the back of my neck. I've never gotten a single bad comment about it. Even all the conservative old ladies I work with think that it's "pretty", even if they don't like tattoos :)
That said, no one else can tell you what kind of tattoo to get. A tattoo is a very personal decision, and one that you'll live with for the rest of your life. Whatever you choose, it should be something that has meaning to you, and that you personally find aesthetically pleasing. Good luck!

I think that neck tattoos are very hard to hide. If you ever put your hair up or the wind blows, it will be there. You need to be careful and weigh the pros and cons of having a tattoo in such a visible place. Unfortunately, people with tattoos are still stigmatized and seen as trashy (by the narrowminded).

NEVER ask a bunch of strangers what YOU should get on YOUR body. you need to come up with your own ideas and/or talk to a tattoo artist. though your bet bet might be to stay far away from tattoo shops. at least until you actually know what you want.
and yeah, neck tattoos are in my opinion trashy. even on guys I think it's ugly.

Maybe a small butterfly or symbol that can be covered by your hair. I have two tattoos in areas that will never be seen by an employer or other people. You might want to consider your future before you put any ink down.

On the back of the neck i would get a Kanji Tattoo. They are small, look really nice and classy not trashy and they have meaning. Have a look here

The choices are endless, and when you actually walk into the tattoo parlor your gonna see thousands of choices.. you can get your birth sign!! you can get something tribal... I personally ove tattoos and I think people on here with the opinion that they are trashy shouldnt even answer the question.. shes asking what she should get not your opinion to whether or not she looks trashy!!
