I've calculated just for fun and found I've had about 670 calories today, and I went on a walk and burned about 200. Is this bad for me?

I'm not on purpose not eating calories, I'm on this med and I haven't been eating much lately, I was wondering if it's alright if I'm eating less, not on purpose but because I'm simply not hungry :\

Well it depends on what you eat. Like what if it was just one burger, or it could be a wide range of fruit you know? If you're worried, just eat a candy bar, that's what I do, lol. Seriously though, you need a bit more food. The same thing happened to me when I was on antibiotics. It sucked. I ate toast and a bit or oatmeal. But I wasn't exercising, I was lucky if I was sitting up. Stay healthy!

Well, you should eat more..but you can have days like that. I probably never eat over 800 calories a day..and I stay the same.. so whatever works for you. Just make sure you're taking a vitamin/mineral supplement so that you're getting plentry of nutrients. Make sure you get enough calcium/protein/fat each day as well because your body requires those (and many other things) things daily. Drink plenty of water. Try eating a little bit more if you can so that you can have more energy. As long as you are exercising you wouldn't gain weight if you ate some more. Good luck.

you dont know how many calories you burned walking, dont count them!!! count time!!!
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

Yes. It is very bad for you. Your brain alone needs 500-600 calories (~130-150 grams of carbs) to function normally.

Having only 470 calories available is inherently dangerous.

Yes you need to eat at least 1000-1200 calories a day to stay nourished.

depends on your weight.....

....honestly...my doctors would agree...

take your weight and add a zero to the end.....for example

140 weight.... 1400 That is what they call the steady state (what your body burns daily ...work.....errands....sitting...etc.

the problem in this situation is if you only ate 670calories...it forces your body to go into a mode where it reduces your metabolism thus reducing your Steady State...so you do not burn that much. When this happens ...you get tired...sluggish..and non energetic.

keeping it around 1000 sends the signal to the body..."hey I getting fed..im good"....

so eat a bit more and see your energy jump up and the pounds still come off..
