I believe its between the 26 team of Jamie McMurrary or the 16 team of Biffle. Roush said that if any team losing a sponosor or a driver decendeds to leave before 2010 that would be the team he would sell. Well Biffle Sponsor has aready said they dont plan on being back in 08. I think if might be the 16 team to go.

He won't lose a team. He'll just put it in someone else's name.

Good insite.I think the 16 or 26 would be the choice, but it could end up as the car without a sponsor? So there are a few choices.
Then there could be a "phanthom team".A Roush team listed as a different owner and not based at Roush Racing.
That's all I have to say about that.

First of all Roush does too have to get done to 4 teams. Roush can only have owner ship in 4 teams. It was on nascar .com.. Roush has to give up 100% of ownership to one of his 5 teams. Roush has been fighting with nascar to try to keep all 5 teams but nascar informed him that by 2010 he has to lose ownership on 1 of his teams not 10% 25% 50% but 100%. and thats the facts so for all of you that say other wise you dont know what your talking about.this is right from the roush racing website Roush Fenway has until the 2010 season to comply with NASCAR's maximum of four cars per organization, announced by the sanctioning body in 2005. The car cap was put in place after all five Roush cars qualified for the Chase for the Nextel Cup championship. "There's no mistaking our understanding of what we have to do, "Regardless of what goes on within our programs, we have to go to four [cars] in 2010 now with that said i think it will be either the 26 or 16. I know it wont be the 17 he's the head of roush racing and i dont think it will be the 6 team because that was roushs first team so i dont see him gettind ride of that team.

Josh R, You are right 100%

Roush will sell the 26 team to the No Fear/ Sobe Racing organization that is part owned by Boris Said. There shops are across the street from each other and that is why Roush decided to help Boris in the first place.

Biffle won't go, he's been there the longest now that Martin has left. Kenseth is the best racer in Roush, and Edwards has the most potential. My guess is SmackMurrary or Ragan would be on the chop block.

It will be David Ragan that is out as driver, come on man he probably won't even be in the car next year.....the only thing he comes in first at is being first to bring out the caution, biffle's sponsor is leaving so kick ragan out, biffle to #6, Mcmuarry has been okay in the two COT races, so he may be getting it turned around

I am a HUGE, HUGE fan of ROUSH racing and I think it is a toss up between Jamie and David because they have mad the least production for Roush lately and he will more than likely keep his top 4 drivers and get rid of the one that makes the least production for his team.

If that is the case, I think he'll sell Biffle's team, kick McMurray out of the 26, and replace him with Biffle. Roush would have to be stupid to keep McMurray over Biffle.

I think that they will "sell" the team to someone like the team that Boris Said drives for. The reason I say this is because that team gets cars and motors from them already. Sorta the same why that Ginn Racing does with Hendrick Motorsports.

Personally, I think that McMurrays team will go. But, don't count on Jack to not try and do something to have a hand in the cookie jar. I almost look for him to "sell" the team to Yates Racing. They're both Ford outfits (misfits), they already do a lot of swapping with their engine programs and R&D programs, and it would be a way of still keeping his interests alive.

Roush doesn't have to get down to 4 teams. As long as someone is part owner, then you can have 5. Like last year, mark martin was part owner of matt's car, because no owner can own 5 cars. As long as they can get a part owner, roush can still have 5 cars.
