Am I acting too desperate or needy? I'm not but does it appear that way to her?

I really like hanging out with this girl that I've known for a couple of months now, and we did start hanging frequently since this past month, but lately I have been asking her if she wants to hang out, and not the other way around. Should I just wait for her to call me sometime to hang out? or should I still be the one asking her? I don't ask her that much maybe once or twice a week. I don't want to appear desperate for her friendship or whatever but I would like it if she would sometimes call or text me to see if I want to hang out. Should I after texting her this weekend, request to be her friend on myspace? I know its kind of a stupid question, but like I said I don't want to seem desperate or that I don't have a life outside of her, which is not the case at all because I have a lot of friends. So what should I do? I sent her an april fools joke today:) and she texted me back and said "No F***ing way" and then I told her that I was kidding and she replied "haha you loser".

Bas,the joke idea was irrational.Bad taste.I'm sorry.You see the way she answered about the joke?.That is bad for ya.Then to make the matter worse,she wrote: loser.For me,your chances are very slim to none in get something with her.However,let the whole incident cool-off for a while and see.No more talking,E-Mails etc. Nothing.Zip.
