The majority of people do not wish to be part of a war, but Australians were involved in WW-1 because of being part of the "British Empire", and as Britain went to war. Australians along with New Zealanders and Canadians joined the war in support of Britain.

No one wanted to be a part of a world war, the Australians got involved through being part of the Commonwealth.

Because they are crazy and that's what I love about them. Aussies are good people, worked with a bunch of them in Iraq.
