Why does society think that love and dating is all about the sex.
That is not right at all.
What ever happend to saving yourself for true love?
It feels like no one in this corrupted world feels that way anymore.
I still do though, and I plan on keeping my virginity until I am married.

good for you I also waited I saved myself until I was twenty-seven we have been married for 19 years and we have two wonderful kids. There is nothing wrong with waiting, but for the kids it is the TV shows and the peerpressure from their peers, and the lack of good old fashion parenting skills, and alsopeople don't take their children to church this day in time when I was growing up there was such thing as a boyfriend, nor going out on a date when you were only 13 thur 18 when I was 18 I could only stay in the areas where my mom could see me at all times only when I finished school and moved to another city with my older sister did I leave my moms house and I still took my believes with me even though I was a long way from my mom and dad I never went to any night clubs and when boys would appoach me I would tell them that I'm not going to get serious with no one until I get married and they would leave me a lone, but the man I married had the same thought that I had and he never tried anthing, nor did he put any pressure on me heck he din't even try to kiss or hug,nor hold my hand, but I can say by doing it that way God bless we don't have the problems that others seem to be having and the most important yhing of all is that we put God in all and every thing that we do right to this day. That's why I know that keeping your virginity until you get married is a good and very smart thing to do.God Bless You.

Excellent.

I think society, or at least a large part of it feels the same way you do, but if you turn on the TV, radio or anything in print and all they show you is sex all the time non-stop. Sex sells their products and in turn we are taking all this in and it makes us start to think differently about it, as if it were a product too. (in some places it is).

Same thing in people relationships, everyone thinks it is the cool thing to do, when inside they probably don't but are too afraid of speaking up or doing something different because of peer pressure and being made fun of.

I say bravo to you for saving yourself, your marriage will be that much stronger because of it!

All you have to do is watch TV and you see nothing but sex,who runs the movie co.'s men do and for some reason they think everyone wants to see sex. HBO- real sex, girls gone wild that tape says it all about the way the girls are today. My son is 26 and he can't find a decent girlfriend,if you want a good girl you men are in a lot of trouble. It's nice to no that there are still some girls out there that care about their body's and won't give their virginity away to some a- hole who will brag about it to his friends the next day.

Sex is something that was sacred and secret so TV shows capitalized on it. After a couple of decades, people were becoming desensitized to it so the shows got as sinful as they could. Some even going the "beep it out" route. So life for many who learned life by watching TV has become an imitation of their favorite shows.

More and more people drift away from morals because they think "everybody" is doing it. Peer pressure, and just the lousy way they are raised. Kids nowadays are exposed to more sex every day than people were in a year two decades ago.
But I'm glad you asked. It's nice to know some people still care.

It's not right 'to you'.
Everyone doesn't want to wait until marriage.
Anyway who said love was about sex?
Dating is just testing the water and having fun.
Sex can be included---or not.

Anyway I'm an adult. I have no marital prospects and if I want to have sex I will.
I see no issue with it.
The only ones who should be abstaining are the ones who can't sex responsibly: Namely teenagers....

Girl... if you plan on keeping your virginity until you get married... Congrats! i respect you!
most people only care about one thing and im sure you know what that is....
and that is sad people are like that but they are.
just be careful and really get to know someone before becoming to involved.
Do NOT wear your heart on your sleeve.
Just take time getting to know someone and if they cannot wait then... they are not the one.
