Oh dont get me wrong, i know there's a base there in my little head thats not completely normal. except i call it sensitive. not as in i cry when i see sappy movies, as in i see stuff (not literally!!) that most people dont see. and i dont wanna sound big headed, its absolutely not meant to. in fact, its a curse more than a good thing. and for this, i keep on suffering and suffering and suffering. so im not trying to blame it on the others. but wtf do you do in this situation then? hope it makes sense xx

Hi there.
Since you posted here, I assume that you have a piece of you that keeps hope alive. You know you don't want to live your life the way you've described. Take that hope and let it fuel you to seek help even though your mind wants to trick you into eternal despair. Don't let it beat you.
I've had a similar experience. I had a lot of crazy people and crazy situations in my life. Finally I went to a psychiatrist who said that I had a disease that was tricking my mind to think these people and situations were crazy, when really I was seeing them through thr glasses of my didease. He said drugs would help fix the symptoms. Wrong! His drugs did NOTHING.
I went to a 2nd doctor. Instead of doing nothing, they made me worse!
My third doctor was a research doctor and couldn't care less. He gave me a drug that made me gain 50 pounds and still didn't help! All this this was over eight years, and I felt there was no hope for me. My hole life was reduced to insanity. What job could I have? What relationship? What life? It was so bad, I tried to kill myself and ended in a mental hospital. Talk about low.
I met my current doctor soon after that. She listened to my symptoms, and she knew the studies for the newist drugs on the market. She was intune with my reactions, and if a drug wasn't working, she would change it very quickly for another that might. She was also sensitive to side effects and would try to find drugs that would minimize them. I'm on a combination of an old drug plus a very, very, new drug, and have been symptom free for 2 years.
The whole point of my story is that I have been without hope. Doctors let me down and so did drugs. I thought I'd never be sane again. BUT there are doctors who care! Don't settle for some yahoo! When you're feeling good, check out http://www.nami.org/ they have a big list of good doctors, by location.
More importantly, there are tons of drugs out there, and even more combinations of drugs. I had one drug that took 3 trials of combos to get the right one. There are also new drugs being made available all the time! Maybe one of those will help. There are also drugs being made in labs. Maybe one will stop your symptoms.
Your salvation could actually be tomorrow or next week! Find a psychiatrist you feel you can trust and BE HONEST. They have heard it all before and most likely worse than what you say. Don't give up on meds either, and if different kinds they don't work, say so. But don't be afraid to give up on all because of one or a combo.
Remember:
It's not how many times you fall down that counts,
it's how many times you get back up.
My best wishes and best luck to you in a hard time,
Amelia

Accept that you have an inherent predisposition to instability, but that you are also capable of choosing not to express yourself in an inappropriate, uncontrolled, or excessive manner. If the doctors and medications don't work for you, try the following: practice for 15 - 20 mins, daily, and when needed, the mindfulness breathing method at http://www.dbtselfhelp.com Tai Chi or yoga may suit you better, but you can use them all. Take 4 fish oil supplements, eat healthily, and exercise vigorously for 30 - 60 mins, daily. For several weeks, take a daily Valerian root supplement, then see if you can manage without it.

I sure hope you are in counseling to guide you through what could be a major life choice of changing who your friends are if they are part of the problem with your instability. But know that people do not cause your instability, they only augment the symptoms that were already there.

You go to answers and ask a bunch of computer addicts what to do. If that doesn't work... ummm. Try getting honest with the doctors and counselors so they can actually help you. I've never been able to successfully work with anyone that couldn't afford me the truth.

I don't recommend going Postal, but that's what happens with some people that become mentally deranged because of the jerks they work with. I would consider a change of environment, or a change of jobs. Or if it's at home, then a divorce. Your mental health is everything.

first take a deep breathe, if you are around people that you think are not helping, find new people. Doctors, how many have you tried, and how many meds have you tried? I am trying my 4th one tom. Just keep trying, don;t give up and i am sure you will find something that will help..........

Nobody can "make" you crazy unless you let them. Nobody can "make" you mad unless you let them. Nobody controls your feelings except you. I don't know how old you are, but if you're old enough to have a job and be on your own, then you can leave these crazy people behind and have as normal a life as you want.
