It is all right to be scared because it is a normal reaction to a new situation. Typically, you are given your class schedule either before school starts or on the first day of school. There are many helpful people in the hallways to help give you directions if lost. Most of all, join a club or two that sounds interesting to you because it is a wonderful way to meet new friends since they probably have the same interests as you.

After the first day or two you will get the hang of your school. All big schools will seem small after the first couple days. one thing you can do is look and study the school map. see if there is a pattern to the layout. how are the rooms numbered and are there wings, like the science wing, math wing, etc. As for the friends thing.... try to be nice and a little out going. meet some friends at a lunch table, ask if you can sit at a table that isn't to over crowded. ask kids in your classes about homework, or when doing partner work, or lab work , use this time also to get to know some people. don't worry you'll do great. Just smile and ask a lot of questions.

Not a problemo ^-^
I just started Jr. High this year and I was scared too. The best way to make friends is be nice and friendly, and don't come across like you're trying to make a statement or prove yourself to be better than everyone else. Try hard to blend in. I recommend wearing a nice abercrombie and fitch outfit and introducting yourself to everyone you can. Start up conversations. Wear light makeup. Right before your lunch period, keep talking to someone and just walk with them to their table. Then you guys can sit together. As for your classes, you should probably go to school before the year starts and find out where all your classes are. If you can't, get to school early on the first day and find where they are. Trust me, Jr. High isn't as scary as TV makes it sound. Just don't act like a freakobutt and you'll be fine.

Plus, it provides an computerized team of people to hold out with, as you all have someone-friendly similarity! i could completly recommend it! as a procedures via fact the extra social ingredient of center college is going- in retrospect on it, i replaced into an entire mess in center college! lol I wish I had used a hair straightener frequently, that's for helpful! :) in simple terms be the guy you have consistently been, even nevertheless it form of feels that scholars in many circumstances develop into extra visual attraction/style wakeful after entering center college so perhaps it can be a competent time to purpose some new kinds out? i think of that as long as you have a competent team of friends- then the "usual" human beings won't provide you any hardship in any respect! I breezed via! do no longer hardship, i'm helpful you would be nice! attempt no longer stress out too a lot- if something i got here across center college much less demanding than my final years of problem-unfastened! ( I did have a exceptionally confusing instructor nevertheless...) stable success - you would be nice !

Don't be scared. I'm out of high school a few years now and I wish I could go back to middle school. Those were the best years. After middle school... life only gets more harder. You have bills to pay, and so on... enjoy middle school.
The only thing Im gonna warn ya on is the "clicks". If your not "in" with the trends, your out.
The clicks during my schooling were Jnco Jeans, Yo-Yos, Pogs, Tamagachis, Furbys, and a few other things.
I never bought in to that crap. I wasn't going to pay $60 for a pair of jeans that looked stupid.
I survived and have many awesome friends now.
From personal experience, the friends you make near the end and after high school are your life-long friends.
Best of Luck, enjoy!

I"m in 8th grade and i had the same feeling. But all you have to do is ask the students around you. Especially in the first couple of weeks, upperclassmen are usually nice and they'll help you. Also if your late for a class teachers usually won't care if you tell them you got lost. Try to make friends during the morning, because then you can sit with them during lunch. All you have to remember is that the kids around you are thinking the same stuff you are.

I remember, middle school. I sat down alone the fisrt day, to research the enviroment, then I target the group I wanted to join... so the next day I introduce myself and ask if i can sit with them. Sometimes you think it will be hard but when you are shy people actualy comes to you. However, you need to break out of the shell and just mingle between the classmates. The classes, they give you schedules and they have hall monitors that guide you and give you info about the school!... Trust me its going to be fun!.. Dontcha have friends from elementary school that are going to the same school as you?

I had these same feelings when I was going to start high school. Just relax and everything will be fine. The teachers will help you find your classes and with any other problems you have. Just be yourself and you will make friends. At lunch, join a group of people that you saw in your classes, and get to know them.

Don't worry about things like that. Just get ready to meet new people, make new friends, new experiences and of course learn new things. As far as how to make new friends, just smile at everyone, and just say hi to people. Remember you won't be the only new one. It's going to be everyone's first time in middle school so everyone will be nervous. You'll be fine.
