I would go for this one, I think it has everything you want:

the best camera for under $200 is the Canon A550

* 7.1 Megapixel
*4X Optical Zoom
* Very good photo quality, noise levels low through ISO 400 (in good light)
* Well built for the price
* Very good performance
* LCD visible in low light
* Some manual controls
* AF-assist lamp, good low light focusing
* Good movie and continuous shooting modes
* Impressive software bundle
* Uses AA batteries; great battery life
* USB 2.0 High Speed support

You might wanna check out Canon's A-series. The A550 is a good bet. If you can save juuuust a little bit more, you can get the A710 IS. It's packed with features similar to Canon's high-end cameras.

If you wanna compare digital cameras side-by-side, I recommend that you visit this link:

The Fuji F20 is a great camera for about $150. Takes beautiful pics and 30fps video too.

Check the site www.dpreview.com to see comparisons. You can do a Features Search for cameras under $200 and see reviews

I bought an HP for only 89.00. It has 8x zoom and it's 6 megapixels. I love it. It depends on what you want to take pictures of. I hear that the Kodaks are ok. Good luck
