Try products by either Nexxus or Kerastase. They're pretty expensive, but worth every penny.

You cannot "Repair" damage. What I would reccomend is using a shampoo that has alot of 'cones'- meaning ingredientd with cone on the end of them- to smooth the hair follicle down and reduce the appearance of the damage until you can grow it out getting gradual cuts to take away the damage. Just make sure you use a good clarifying product to take away all the build up every couple of weeks or your hair will just get worse.
Also you may want to think of ways to reduce the damage you are doing to it. Instead of using a straightener blow dry your hair straight with a large paddle brush. Anytime you use heat on you hair make sure to use a heat protectant product on your hair. The 3 I reccomend are Tresemme, Loreal, and Aussie.
When you brush your hair start at the very ends and detangle from the bottom up or you are just ripping your hair. If you have a bad tangle try to untangle it with your hands first.
Use alot of good conditioners. Redken, Aussie, V05, and Suave work well. You can do a great thing for your hair by weekly deep conditioning treatments. Use a mix of all the best moisterising conditioners you like and put them on your lenght (from your ears down) and put a shower cap over your hair. Then hold a blowdryer, heating pad, ect on it for awhile and let the conditioner go into your hair. The heat helps to open the follicle.
When you wash your hair don't pile it on top of your head and scrub. What I like to do is apply conditoner first all down the lenght of my hair then work the shampoo in gently to my scalp. That way the greasy parts get clean by my lenght doesn't get overdryed.
I hope you can take some of this advice because a girls hair is her best accessory.

I recently purchased Joico K-pak for hair repair.
I purchased the starter kit (shampoo, conditioner, reconstructor, and hydrator)...
Wow....I have in the past 4-5 months stripped my hair 2 times and dyed it about 5-6...My hair ends are so rotten!!!
Even though nothing can repair split ends, after using Joico one time it made my hair look shinier and I didn't have the rubbery hair strands that prevented me from brushing my hair when wet.
I bought the kit at Trade Secret in the mall. It was $15.95 for the 4 small bottles....Well worth it...
When I run out I will be purchasing the bigger bottles (which vary from $12-$20)
My hair has never looked so good without having to slop shining serums and leave-in conditioners and gel and etc....
It feels great, too!!
I think Great Clips also sells this product but the prices are the same.
Good Luck!!

The absolute best is the new brand called ORGANIX.
Organix has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing!
You can get Organix at Target, Kroger, Albertsons, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc.
You'll love it!

Do not use Panteene Pro V. All that does is cause really bad build up in your hair. Eventually what build up does is cause the hair to look dull and really greasy. Hot oil is very good for your hair also a dab of extra virgin olive oil. I would recommend Ganiere Fructose. ( I apologize for my horrible spelling of that) hair mask. It smells great and you only leave it in for three minutes. That's what I use and I go swimming all the time. So, it definitely helps! Good luck!!

Kerastase is the best for that, very expensive, but works great. You'll probably have to get it at a salon.

PLEASE DONT USE PANTENE ..... IT MAKES YOU THINK ITS HEALTHY BUT ALL THAT STUFF IS A WAX AND ITS JUST A BUILDUP ........ GO ASK ANY STYLIST THEY WILL TELL YOU THE SAME ....... BUT I HEARD V05 WAS PRETTY GOOD AND THE CHEAPEST TO BUY FOR OVER THE COUNTER WITHOUT THE BUILDUP ......... YOU MIGHT ALSO WANT TO TRY V05 HOT OIL SHOWER WORKS WEEKLY ON YOUR HAIR TOO.
