Everything is not affected. It's the lower quality foods that are being affected.
Find a good pre-made food that hasn't been affected by the recall. Natural Balance, Merrick, Blue Buffalo, Wysong, "Chicken Soup", Wellness and a few other brands are all top quality and have NOTHING to do with the crappy foods made by Menu Foods.

Feed them a high quality human grade food. Only one human grade food has been recalled, and that was Nutro Ultra. All the others have been completely safe, because they use higher quality ingredients that are not nearly as likely to become contaminated.
Try Wellness, Canidae, Blue Buffalo, Solid Gold, California Natural, Fromm's, Merrick's. There are many, many more to choose from. You just have to do some research for dog foods and you'll find that there are plenty of foods that have not been recalled - they are just higher quality foods than what most people have been feeding.

Feed your dog a high quality, human grade food. It is only low quality foods that are affected by the recall because the companies are using poor quality ingredients. The ONLY good thing that has come from this recall is that people are beginning to realize that many major pet food companies are misleading their consumers by disguising what is really in their products.

I've been making meals for my dogs. Ever since the pet food recall. Egg pasta mixed with ground beef or turkey with green beans. I make a batch every two days and store it in a plastic container and refrigerate then reheat for the next day. You kinda have to do it until the food recall is over cause everyday something else that was safe yesterday is on recall the next day. Very frustrating. Also go to the pet store and get a pet vitamin to mix into their home made meals for extra nutrition. And also cottage cheese for dairy if your dog will eat it. This is for dogs only!

Not everything is being recalled. There are some very good high quality food on the market. Solid gold, Canidea, Timber Wolf. All natural and no wheat or corn or by products of any kind in these.

Well, you could just feed dogs (and maybe a few other animals too) "people" food until this whole recall thing smooths over if you're worried.

Dry dog food is okay. The only dry being recalled is Hills Prescription m/d for cats. Go to www.petsupport.net for a complete list of canned food that is recalled.

I've continued feeding my dog his dry food as well.. all has been fine. It's not worth the worry, just relax and keep your eyes open for symptoms and more recalls. It's all you can do.
