i installed vista through an iso and now it won't boot, what made me even more angry is that its a common problem amoung vista premium. whats more is that my sister just got a new mac :( i need to repair vista because i have important work on it and i don't want to buy a new one like the warning said. i need to know if its possible to boot from an iso like you can in a mac. i tried using daemon tools and acronis os selector but it didn't work. any help is appreciated :)

ps: the reason my computer won't burn anything is because all the dvds i have are the wrong format, only for macs...doy for me i don't even have one.

You cannot "boot" from an ISO, since you need to load a program to emulate a drive in order to load an ISO.

I assume you had XP before you tried installing Vista. Were you trying to upgrade, or fresh install? I assume you were trying to upgrade, and then at the part where you needed to reboot you got screwed over. I might be able to help you if you give a few more details.
