Which Island. For the most part, summer wear, but if you are on the Big Island, bring along a warm outfit. I cannot stress enough taking a trip to the summit of Mauna Kea

Keep it light. The weather is moderate throughout the year. If you plan to go out to eat, take something dressy. Hawaii has some great places to eat. You cannot go without a swim suit, some shorts, and a nice pair of slacks or a skirt. The landscape is very vivid so wear some fun colors. A pair of dress shoes, and if you mean to go out to see the volcanos, some really good walking shoes. Jeans are good for the volcano park. Take along a sweater for the evening and you are good to go.

Shorts, bathing suits, light weight shirts. Everyone is Hawaii is casual all the time. You'll spend the entire time in shorts/t-shirts etc.. People dress like that even in the nicest restaurants.
Enjoy, Hawaii is great.

Less than you think you'll need. I know people say that about every trip but you definitely wont need it there - people end up buying a few things once they get there -shorts, dresses tshirts etc as they're so cheap and you really dont wear much either - sandals, bathing suit and light clothes on top. You really only need a couple tshirts and shorts plus a bathing suit and add on as you go.
