Every-so-often I get all anxious for no reason i get really nervous like im overwhelmed as if im gonna or i might die or something because my hearts beating too fast, another way ta describe it is: if i was a lil kid and got in trouble at school and don't wanna go home cuz i'm gonna get a whooping, sounds childish but thats the best way for me to put it into words.

Social anxiety can cause these feelings, which can also lead to severe depression,
http://www.socialanxietyinstitute.org/ds...
if not you could be suffering from Generalized Anxiety
Disorder..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/general_anx...
There is hope; I've been there, and still am there, it is a long, hard struggle. I recommend
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cognitive_b... worked best for me, with mild anti-anxiety meds. I suffered from social anxiety for over 15 years. I've tried individual therapy, and group therapy and studied psychology for 10 years, as a profession, but also with the hope to cure myself.
Depending on your comfort level, you could go to a psychologist that practices CBT and specializes in anxiety disorders, seek a group therapy, or create one. Usually those that do attend the group therapy are a bit more high functioning because as you know, it can be difficult to speak in a group.
Another idea is to see if there are any local research studies being conducted that you could participate in.
The program that finally worked the best for me is this one: http://www.socialanxiety.us/findinghelp.... and I was lucky enough to have a structured behavioral group to go along with it. Sometimes the people that actually attend this program come back home and form groups.
I recommend a mild anti-anxiety med in addition to CBT therapy.
Any questions, let me know ... I can't tell you how much this has improved my life!

Sounds like it to me with panic attacks. I too suffer from this, or did, alot! I tried alot of stuff....therapy, different SSRI's which are mainly for depression and other serotonin disorders, relaxation, etc. nothing helped long term for me. The cognitive behavioral therapy did teach me some coping techniques. You need to see a psychiatrist and they will be able to help you with meds or therapy, whichever you feel is best for you. I take something specifically for anxiety on an as needed basis. I used to take a pill everyday, Buspar which is an anti-anxiety med(google it). It helped a little but didn't control the panic attacks, only the anxiety. It has few side effects though and is better than an SSRI in my opinion. Go see a psych, no need to suffer! Good luck and take Care!
***Yes, mine came out of the blue too. That's common with this disorder. They can't always pinpoint what causes them. They are controlable though so please seek help! I wish you the best.

Panic attacks are characterized by rapid heartbeat, feelings of overwhelming panic, numbness and disassociation - meaning if you look in a mirror, it's like you don't recognize yourself. If that sounds about right, consider going to a psychiatrist and getting an antianxiety. But if you only get attacks infrequently, try working on a relaxation routine to help you calm down when you're freaked out.

You need to get some help now before they get out of control. There are relaxation techniques that psychologists will help you with so you are in charge of the situation.
